Tarsar Marsar
Tarsar Marsar Trek
Tarsar Marsar is arguably the prettiest trek in India. This is a title we do no longer supply treks lightly. Especially when its ambitious sister trek, Kashmir Great Lakes, is in the picture.
However, Tarsar Marsar is a trek the place alpine lakes take a lifestyles of their own. It is now not simply the reality that you get to camp beside these royal blue, snow-fed lakes (you don’t get this tenting risk even at KGL). Or the secluded nature of these campsites (a Godsend in today’s trekking scenario!).
You get to steer clear of the whole perimeter of Tarsar and Sundersar, providing you more than one views of the very equal lake!
Then there is the elusive Marsar, nearly usually hidden beneath a shroud of clouds. We see this lake from an overhang, sitting 600–700 toes below. It is a best spot to witness the grandeur of the lake, with the solar rising proper above it. This is till dollops of clouds waft their way thru the U-shaped valley and settle above the lake. The lake disappears from view inside seconds!
