Refund and Cancellation Policy
Introduction:
At Choose Himalayas, we understand that plans may change, and cancellations can be necessary. To maintain fairness and transparency, we have established the following cancellation policy. We encourage all our trekkers to carefully read the terms below before booking a trek.
Cancellation by Participant:
1. Cancellation Timing:
• If a participant cancels 30 days or more before the trek start date, they will receive a 100% refund, excluding any non-refundable processing fees (if applicable).
• If a participant cancels 15-29 days before the trek start date, they will receive a 50% refund of the total booking amount.
• If a participant cancels less than 15 days before the trek start date, there will be no refund.
2. No Show or Early Departure:
• No refunds will be issued for participants who do not show up on the day of the trek or who choose to leave the trek before its completion.
3. Transfer of Booking:
• Participants may transfer their booking to another person. This must be requested at least 15 days before the trek. The replacement participant must fulfill all trek requirements.
4. Refund Process:
• Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 14 working days of the cancellation notice being received. Payments will be refunded through the same mode as the booking.
Cancellation by Choose Himalayas:
1. Unforeseen Circumstances:
• If Choose Himalayas cancels a trek due to unforeseen events (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.), participants will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule for a future trek.
2. Insufficient Participation:
• In case the minimum number of participants is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the trek. Participants will receive a full refund in such cases.
3. Rescheduling or Postponement:
• If a trek is postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, participants will be offered an option to join the rescheduled trek. If they cannot attend, they may opt for a 50% refund.
